  I had a very uncomfortable and very unprofessional experience today at DJ's - Garden City.
  
  I wanted to price match and purchase an electric toothbrush through DJ's in order to redeem a cash back offer and decided to visit the Garden City store. After sharing my requests with a staff member I was told to wait for the floor manager. Whilst waiting the staff member kept repeating that 'in her 6 years working for DJ's that they would not price match Priceline stores'. I acknowledged her statement and stated I would wait for the manager. I wandered around the homewares area while another customer was being served and found the manager who confirmed DJ's would price match other physical stores only if they had stock - she had contacted one Priceline store in Perth which did not have stock and they were not able to confirm the inventory of other stores.
  
  I went out of the store and proceeded to contact other Priceline stores within Perth to query stock and managed to find 2 stores that had it in store. I returned to the store and waited eagerly at the same counter with the electric toothbrush in hand and waited to be served again. While explaining the situation to another staff member which I had not met earlier, another staff member walked past and commented that I had tried to price match earlier and that "we would not accept it because stores did not have stock" and yet another staff member claimed that I "had been jumping to different counters hoping to get a deal". At this point I felt very uncomfortable and it was as if I were trying to 'scam' DJ's and I left the store immediately. Considering that DJ's Garden City is quite a prestigious shopping centre and located in a relatively affluent area in Perth I was very disappointed in how I was dealt with by two of the staff there.
  
  I contacted another David Jones in Karrinyup and they had confirmed they had stock and I went directly there (30min drive - 26kms away). At the Karrinyup store I was greeted by a staff member with the badge name - Vincent who acknowledged my request and quickly looked in to and finished my transaction.
  
  I am a young professional who deals with people on a daily basis and believe that customer service is priority especially within the retail industry. I will not bother to return to that particular store again and would not have given a second of my time to write this but in a time when Perth is facing an economic downturn where people are less willing to spend, is a bit of respect and quality customer service too much to ask for?

  (Young women's fashion) Awful customer service on the phone. Was on hold for 20 minutes while they looked for a top I asked to be put on hold, which I saw an hour before in the store. The section they had to look in was approx 1.5 meters wide with 1 rack. They still couldn't find it. I then went into the store because I was fed up. And found the top within 20 seconds.
  Staff were so rude. And extremely clueless about all of their products. They have zero product knowledge, for example or knowing they stocked that brand!
  Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened to me. Same girl every time.
